CareSouth Carolina Providing Remote Patient Visits Through Telehealth
CareSouth Carolina is providing telehealth visits for its patients as a way to promote social distancing and help fight the spread of COVID-19.
Patients who would desire a regularly-scheduled follow-up appointment or wellness check-up can call the CareSouth Carolina Telehealth Triage Center at 843-309-8102, which is staffed by RNs and LPNs. The nurse will talk with the patient, decide if a telehealth (remote video chat) visit is appropriate and will schedule the patient a time to meet with their primary care provider, typically the same day.
With 210 new coronavirus patients, SC records 1,293 total cases and 26 deaths
South Carolina officials recorded hundreds more positive coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the state’s total to 1,293 and 26 deaths. The numbers include 210 new positive test results, more than the state has announced in a single day since recording its first case on March 6. Forty-eight of the newly identified patients live in Charleston County, according to the Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Coronavirus cases continue to rise in South Carolina
Cases of the novel coronavirus continue to spike in South Carolina. On Thursday, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 21 new COVID-19 cases had been detected – the largest daily rise reported thus far in South Carolina.
