[vc_row][vc_column][tm_heading tag=”div” custom_google_font=”” text=”Centene Corp., the St. Louis-based health company that is acquiring Tampa’s WellCare Health Plans in a $17.3 billion transaction, has expanded its offerings in the 2020 Health Insurance Marketplace in 10 states.
The health care insurance provider (NYSE: CNC) announced last month that the acquisition, expected to close in the first half of 2020, is ahead of schedule in seeking insurance approval in more than two dozen states.
The latest announcement expands Centene’s reach into Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Washington.
The health care giant, as of June 30, has served approximately 1.9 million exchange members across 20 states.
